POS for full service

The POS for full-service restaurants

Floor maps, coursing, split checks and tableside handhelds — service tools that match how a dining room actually runs.

Full service is choreography — seat, course, fire, clear, settle. Novaryq gives servers a floor map that mirrors the room, coursing that keeps the kitchen on pace, and split checks that don’t hold up table turns, with handhelds that bring the terminal to the table.

  • Floor maps

A live map of the room — seats, statuses and open checks at a glance.

  • Coursing

Fire courses on pace and keep the kitchen and the table in sync.

  • Split checks

Split by seat, item or evenly — with tips — without holding up the table.

  • Tableside handhelds

Take orders at the table on our native Android app; tickets fire instantly.

The shape of a full-service check

Seats, courses and the fact that a table changes its mind

Counter systems assume one guest, one order, one payment. A dining room assumes none of those, and that is where a POS either helps or gets in the way.

  1. Rung by seat

Every line carries its seat, so a check that splits four ways at the end never has to be rebuilt from memory.

  2. Fired by course

Apps now, mains on the call. The kitchen sees the course, not one undifferentiated ticket.

  3. Routed by station

Grill, fry, cold and bar each get their own lines and their own age timers.

  4. Moved and merged

A party that moves tables, or two tables that become one, is a transfer — not a re-ring.

  5. Split and settled

Split by seat, item or amount, across cash, card and gift card, with tips landing on the right server’s shift.

The floor

The plan is a working surface, not a picture of the room

Table state — seated, ordered, fired, dropped, paid — is visible at a glance, so a manager can see the room rather than ask about it.

  • Servers take orders at the table on a handheld, so a course starts cooking while the order is still being taken.
  • Sections and station assignments follow the schedule, so who owns which table is not a conversation at the start of every shift.
  • A check left open at close is visible as an exception, not discovered the next morning.
